Collection and Use

We may collect, and you may provide, personal information to RedPoint for a variety of reasons which we will disclose to you, including to purchase products; to receive direct marketing information from RedPoint; to enter competitions; to apply for our rewards Loyalty Program online or in-store; to facilitate our relationship with you by email and through our Website and stores; and to report to you and deal with your complaints or returns. We collect information that is reasonably necessary for facilitating our relationship and providing you with our services. We also collect information if you apply for a position with us. If you do not provide your personal information, we will not be able to provide you with these services.

When you provide personal information, such as your name, address, mobile number, email address, and credit card information, you consent to RedPoint using or disclosing your personal information for the purpose specified to you at the time of collection, or for another purposes if:

•  you would reasonably expect us to use or disclose such information for that other purpose (for example, you would reasonably expect us to disclose your contact details to our freight agents if we have to deliver products, to service providers we use to manage our online and store relationship with you, such as: our credit card service provider, Westpac, to debit and credit payment;

•  that other purpose is related to the purpose specified to you at the time of collection (for example, we would need to disclose your credit card details to a bank to credit your account in the case of a refund, we will need to disclose your email address to the company that manages our newsletter subscription services to you, MailChimp); or

•  where we are permitted or required by law, or it is in the public interest to do so, or it is in the interests of public safety to do so.

You may use a pseudonym when you deal with us unless it is impractical. For example, if your pseudonym does not match your credit card details, or you give a false name and the freight company will not deliver to you, we will not be able to complete your purchase.
We will not collect your information from a third party unless you have consented, or it may be implied that you consented to the collection at the time.

We may disclose personal information to our related companies in Australia, and between stores, but only for the same purpose for which it was collected. RedPint may de-identify information and share non-personal, non-individual information with our partners in aggregate form for research analysis.
