AeroShell Oil W120 is a non-ash dispersant oil designed for aircraft piston engines. It utilizes non-metallic additives combined with high viscosity index base stocks to enhance stability, dispersancy, and anti-foaming performance. These additives ensure there are no metallic ash residues, preventing deposit formation in combustion chambers and on spark plugs, which can lead to pre-ignition and potential engine failure. AeroShell W Oils are suited for four-stroke cycle certified reciprocating piston engines, including fuel-injected and turbocharged engines. Commonly used by radial engine operators in warm weather, AeroShell Oil W120 ensures engine cleanliness, reduces oil consumption, and aids engines in reaching TBO (Time Between Overhaul). Note: AeroShell W Oils are not recommended for automotive engines. Consult the engine manufacturer or conversion agency for proper oil recommendations for automotive engines converted for aircraft use.
