The K118 Thread Lock Gel Medium Strength Blue 50ml by Forch is designed for securing and sealing threaded connections. It is vibration resistant and boasts outstanding media and heat resistance. Its non-drip, high viscosity formula ensures ease of use even in uncleaned locations, though for optimal performance, cleaner surfaces are recommended. This medium strength gel can be removed using standard tools. It is DVGW tested (DIN EN 751-1), though not approved for gas domestic installations as per DVGW-TRGI 2008 standards. The product features a viscosity range of 2,000 – 7,500 mPas at 25°C, a density of 1.05 g/cm³, and temperature resistance from -55°C to +150°C. It can fill gaps up to 0.25 mm, with a breakaway torque of 17–22 Nm and shear strength of 9–13 N/mm². The gel achieves touchable consistency within 10-20 minutes, functional consistency in 1-3 hours, and final consistency in 4-8 hours. It is suitable for threads up to M36.
