Shell Gadus S3 OG 2 is primarily designed for applications in mining equipment, shovels, and excavators in open cut operations. It is based upon an Aluminium Complex soap thickener dispersed in a high viscosity base oil containing enhanced extreme pressure-antiwear chemistry. Key features include excellent load carrying capacity under severe operation conditions, very high mechanical and thermal stability, and the ability to withstand severe operation conditions while maintaining adhesive characteristics over time. Additionally, it contains no chlorinated or unwanted heavy metals.
