Shell Morlina S2 BL oils are special low viscosity, solvent refined mineral oils blended with zinc-free additives, designed to provide extended performance in high-speed spindles of machine tools. Suitable for various machine bearing and circulating systems, including oil-lubricated plain and rolling element bearings. The low viscosity fluids (ISO grades 2, 5, and 10) are particularly suitable for high-speed spindles in machine tools. The oils are formulated with a well-proven rust and oxidation inhibitor package, providing high resistance to oxidation caused by heat, air, water, and metal catalysts such as copper, helping to prolong oil life and lower maintenance costs. The special additives offer efficient anti-wear performance, enhancing machine reliability and protecting softer metals in bearings. Additionally, the additive package enhances the oil’s natural corrosion protective properties, prolonging bearing life. These oils promote smooth running of high-speed machine elements and minimize heat buildup from frictional energy losses.
