Shell Omala S4 GX is recommended for use in wind turbines and other installations requiring long life, minimal maintenance, or difficult access. It is suitable for industrial reduction gear systems under severe conditions, bearings and other components in circulating and splash-lubricated systems, and highly loaded worm drives (using the Shell Omala 'W' series oils). For automotive hypoid gears, use appropriate Shell Spirax Oil. Benefits include long oil life, excellent wear and corrosion protection, and maintaining system efficiency.
